Welcome to Mello Designs, where you will find unique custom handmade one of a kind gemstone jewelry, wire sculpture jewelry, wire wrapped jewelry and handmade bookmarks by jewelry artist, Melissa Mello.  My custom handmade jewelry is made with precious and semi-precious gemstones like, Amethyst, Garnet, Sapphires, Amber, Turquoise, Agates, Jaspers, Freshwater Pearls and others to make them stand out and be noticed. I also do wire sculpting, taking pendants, cabochons and cameo's of all sizes, sculpting them in sterling silver, 14K gold-filled and brass, turning them into works of wearable art. Every piece is unique and one of a kind and handmade just for you. Some of my custom jewelry is made with my own handmade links and clasps, using steriling silver or 14K gold-filled.

You can find my jewelry on display at The Wilmington Art Gallery at New Castle at 618B Castle Street in Wilmington, North Carolina and I am a member of the Wilmington Art Association. All of Mello Designs handmade jewelry is beautiful and ready to wear. Even though they are one of a kind, most pieces can be made smaller or larger. Many of my handmade necklaces and bracelets are in sets because I believe if you have a really beautiful necklace or bracelet, you should have matching earrings. If you find a handmade necklace, handmade bracelet or handmade earrings that are not in a set, but you would like a matching piece, just go to the contact page and sent me an email. For thoses of you with sensitive ears, all of the handmade earrings at Mello Designs can be made with hypoallergenic or surgical steel earwires. I also use sterling silver, 14K gold filled or titanium to make handmade ear-wires. All of my unique custom handmade gemstone jewelry with or without hand made links and clasps are made with either sterling silver or 14K gold-filled wire componants unless otherwise noted.  Most of the bookmarks and bead products are made with base metal clasps and beads.
